I don't even know what to say....:blink:

From the Dept. of Useless Information:

The first 18 Mosaic Selects:

• 54 Discs

• 646 Songs

• 2 days:14 hours:40 minutes:42 seconds worth of music!

I've noticed that I can fit all of it onto a single-sided DVD

with room for the upcoming #19 & 20!

Thank you for your time ;)

Up on deck for the day's listening pleasures:

Maynard Ferguson LP set

Bill Evans Vanguard LP set

Kenton Holman/Russo LP set

Lee Morgan/Wayne Shorter VeeJay CD set

That should keep me going for a while.. :g

My Four Freshmen set has arrived from Tower. Took a week to get from the US for about $10 compared with Mosaic's up-to 6 weeks and $30. The set is in great shape and is number 2037 out of a total of 3500.

I've also been listening to the Anita O'Day set lately. When I first got it, I focused mainly on the live set. While that is very good, there's a lot of other good stuff here. What a singer!

Four Freshmen set, disk 3. This set has exceeded all expectations so far, gets my award for 'most under-rated Mosaic', I think. Full of fine harmonies and some wonderful West Coast backing groups (liberal doses of Milt Bernhart trombone, for example). Another winner ! .... and Malcolm Addey re-mastering.

Nah, I think "tranemonk" beat me to it this time

Don't think he's listened to it yet, so you're the first--at least the first who's posted about listening. :g

I'm listening to a little of it myself, now. ;):tup
