chris olivarez Posted June 23, 2004 Report Posted June 23, 2004 I'm sure you have all seen cd titles that you get a kick out of. You may not like the music but you may get a kick out of or otherwise dig the title. One title that I like is Chris Thile's "All Who Wander Are Not Lost". Any Favorites? Quote
neveronfriday Posted June 23, 2004 Report Posted June 23, 2004 I always thought someone should record a song entitled "All Heads Turn When the Hunt Goes By". I'd like that. Quote

BruceH Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 I always thought Stan Getz should have recorded an album titled: "What Stan Wants..." Quote

Spontooneous Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 My all-time fave album titles remain "More Songs About Buildings and Food" (Talking Heads) and "Bad Music for Bad People" (The Cramps). But some good jazz titles come to mind... Bobby Watson, "Post-Motown Bop" Cecil Taylor, "One Too Many Salty Swift and Not Goodbye" David S. Ware, "Earthquation" Oh yeah, and "Waiting for the Boogaloo Sisters." B) Quote

Dan Gould Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 Bobby Watson, "Post-Motown Bop" Speaking of Bobby Watson, and unless this is limited to CD titles and not song titles, how about the tune "Monk He See, Monk He Do"? Quote

Joe G Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 Mingus Ah Um/Charles Mingus Years ago, when I bought this cd from a Wherehouse Records, the girl behind the counter saw the title and exclaimed, "I have weird nightmares!" Fortunately for her I was familiar with the Hal Wilner Mingus tribute by that name, or else my response would have been along the lines of, "Do you analyze them?" Should've said that anyway. I always think of good comebacks about 5 minutes after the fact... Quote
