Soul Stream Posted February 22, 2005 Report Share Posted February 22, 2005 Well, a lot of my organ trio gigs this last year have been as a sideman for a guitar player. Said guitar player just got hired by Bob Dylan, and now he's gone after this Thursday. My calender has been completey wiped. So, there goes half my income again in one fell swoop (this income blast happened to me last year as well under different circumstances).... Man, does hustling up gigs ever get any easier? I'm 'bout tired of the merry-go-round! Just when it gets going good, it inevitabley comes to a screeching halt. I'm happy for my buddy's great gig, but good news in the music business for someone always is bad news for someone else. Do the hustle.
