Same today as it was 2 days ago or a year ago. Let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater here. Civility is hallmark of this place, let's get back to that and treat others as we'd like to be treated ourselves. Pluss, maybe we should get back to a few more jazz discussions and forget about what we were all fighting about. Jim, Joe and Randy are great guys. Let's not bum them out like some bad mayonnaise in the refrigerator. Quote

I know Henderson has had success as an actor, but still doesn't get enough props for his singing IMHO. Steve's devoting two hours to him tomorrow night on WGBH. ejp626 Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 At the risk of being told I am sweeping things under the carpet, let me say that the positives far outweigh the occasional negatives of the board. What have I gained from the Board: I found out about Organissimo and ordered their CD I bought probably over 50 CDs in the last year and a half based on recommendations from the board and enjoyed at least 45. I've picked up some sweet deals in the Offered section I've sold a few things there I've found out about upcoming releases months in advance, giving myself something to look forward to (particularly on days when the job sucked) I've been tipped off to some great concerts in Chicago and have tried to spread the word about other events I've been very entertained by the sense of humor displayed in many threads. I truly don't think this is some kind of sinking ship, and some people really are blowing things way out of proportion. The vast majority of us are adults who can handle some bruised feelings from time to time. Quote

I think a lot of us are able to maintain a very civilized community here, and I don't think Jim should be held responsible to police the damn thing. Some people need to go elsewhere to blow off steam. Take up an instrument or something. This isn't the place! Unless you are talking about ANWR, not Anwar from American Idol. Quote
