14 hours on a plane to China

Recommended Posts

I almost set for my China trip, I just need to load up my mp3 player.

If I went with a theme I could include:

Chico Hamilton -Far East

Polo, Danny And His Swing Stars - China Boy

Garland Wilson - China Boy

Cal Tjader - China Nights (Shina No Yoru)

Benny Goodman & His Orchestra - On a Slow Boat to China

Freddie Hubbard - Asiatic Raes

Or, just copy a Mosaic set (or two) and listen straight through.

I have some favorites set, but am looking for suggestions from my far more knowledgable board mates!

What would you pick?

What if it cures and don't wanna come out? :o No way!

Instructions for Taking Ear Impressions

1. We are manufacturing a FULL SHELL earpiece. We require the ear impressions to be a full impression including: Crus of Helix, Tragus, and Antitragus.

2. Impressions must be made from silicone impression material only.

3. It is very important to have an “Open Mouth Impression” taken to the second bend the ear canal. This is accomplished by doing the following:

a. Open mouth wide when impression material is being injected into the ear.

b. Do not close mouth until the impression material has completely cured

Sorabji's Opus Clavicembalisticum.

Yup! You can compare the Madge version with the Ogdon

(Chuck, were you at the Madge Chicago performance?)

or

Amplify 02 box

Merzbox

Archives INA/GRM box

Complete Bach (181 discs)

Stockhausen's Licht

Art of Arne Nordheim

9 Beet Stretch (24 Hour version of Beethoven's 9th)

Scott Ross recording of the complete Scarlatti Keyboard Sonatas (555)

If you're into audio books:

The complete Fourth Tower of Inverness

Not a Madge fan - I admire his "pluck" but not the results. I'm sure Ogdon's (sometimes wayward) recording will be surpassed but don't think I will live to hear it (or afford it). :(

Madge can get a bit "flamboyant", but I have both his and the Ogdon

(and soon the Powell version). How fast is your server? (If I can find it in this mess...)

{sorry, I meant the Ogden is the one that gets a bit emotional. The Madge is more precise.}
