Guest Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 Hey dudes, I played on Grant Green's Alive and kicked total ass, but you won't find me on amg. I am suffering from an incredible case of amnesia, can someone tell me about my career? Quote
clifford_thornton Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 There is a nice picture of you playing with Billy Higgins in Val Wilmer's book, As Serious As Your Life. Quote
JSngry Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 Dude, you and that Varitone were just WACK! Do you remember how to pronounce your name? Is it "BART-ee", "bar-TEE", or "Claude"? Quote
Soul Stream Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 Dude, you totally kicked ass on Grant Green's "Live At The Lighthouse", remember when you played that cool lick on there? That was cool. Remember when that dull announcer introduced you on that record? That was cool too. Everything about you is cool and kick ass. Quote

JSngry Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 Hey, I know what - let's put you on To Tell The Truth and then you can find out everything about yourself that you need to know. Just remember - when they say "Will the REAL Claude Bartee please stan up". somebody's gotta do it, even if you don't know if it's supposed to be you or not. Quote
Joe G Posted July 27, 2005 Report Posted July 27, 2005 the announcer announcing at the beginning of "live at the lighthouse" is the best part! ← Right! Wasn't there talk about Grant "spreading his love through the medium of music"? Classic. The best part about that album is revealed when you put the cd on, and just listen to the first 5 seconds of each tune, skipping to the next on after that. Try it! A friend of mine has some hilarious stories about playing with that drummer.
