Parkertown
This boxed set is 8 cds that encompasses the Pres' studio sets only, on the Verve-associated labels. Also contains two interviews on Disc 8, including one by...why looky here...Chris Albertson. (shameless name-dropping) Also contains Young's dictionary for hip slang. This set is great shape. (See numerous photos below...) All cd playing surfaces look immaculate/new. Unfortunately, this set has not grabbed me...perhaps I'll regret it in the future but finances force me to part with this very nice box. List Price: $129 YourParkertownmusic Price: $64. Shipping in USA/Canada $3.50. International at cost. C'mon...you know you want it. (Hopefully you guys haven't all blown your wad at the OJC blowout sale...) Paypal for international only please...otherwise I welcome your personal check or a M.O. Thanks!

Parkertown
From: The Hipster's Dictionary - by Lester Young and included in this boxed set... ----------------------------- ding dong = an expression of approval every tub = every man for himself feel a draft = to detect racial prejudice or unfriendly surroundings give a reading to = to scold hat = a woman, as in "I see you're wearing a new hat"! have another helping = take another chorus" "I never even auditioned" = Young's response to allegations he was a junkie or a homosexual
