bertrand
Hmmm...There's an 'X' on the Hammond forum and I can't read a topic I began yesterday. I wonder what's going on? Bertrand.
Joe G
I asked Jim about the X and he replied thusly: Why the "X" on the mainpage button? Because it's now a "category" containing sub-forums instead of a forum in and of itself, so it's using a different graphic that has not been used before and obviously needs to be changed. I will do that later today. No sure why you can't read the thread; I'm not having that problem.
Rooster_Ties
I can get into the Forum OK, but I'm seeing the X too.
Jim Alfredson
The reason for the X graphic has already been answered by me in Joe's post. I will fix it later. It's just a graphic. As for why you can't read a post you started, are you linking to it from an old link? I can read everything in those new sub-forums fine. Anyone else having problems? bertrand
When I click on it, only the subforums appear. I can't see the Larry Young Jazz Festival thread (not that I have any new information). Bertrand.
7/4
When I click on it, only the subforums appear. I can't see the Larry Young Jazz Festival thread (not that I have any new information). Bertrand. Then you have to click on the subforum you want to check out.
Jim Alfredson
That is correct. The Larry Young thread is in the General discussion subforum.
JSngry
I certainly appreciate the concept, but is it possible that the setup of individual threads inside seperate sub-forums inside a whole new category makes it more difficult to readily access/peruse information rather than easier? Jim Alfredson
Well, I almost always use "Today's Active Topics", so every thread shows up the same. Regardless, I don't see how it's anymore difficult to access those subforums from the main page than it is to access regular forums. They show up underneath the main category and you just click on them to read them.
