I bet when conn500 watches the game at the sportsbar, he's wearing his NE sweatshirt like BB.....

BB will never be on the cover of GQ....

Back in his Browns HC days, BB used to wear sharp-looking team sweaters, and Chris Berman of ESPN dubbed him "the nattily clad BB". I guess it's better to look like crap and win... :P

I don't think the league encourages fashion-plate HCs. ISTR reading a story this past season about two coaches who wanted to wear business suits on the sidelines, and had to petition for league approval. Maybe the greedy bastards want all sideline staff to wear "officially licensed NFL team apparel".

(Added:) Here's the story: Nolan, Del Rio, suits

Reebok has a clothing deal with the league, so Nolan and Del Rio had to wear special Reebok-designed suits.

What a great performance by the Bears: 1 penalty, no sacks allowed, no turnovers. And everyone was picking New Orleans (I heard that nearly 70% of the money wagered in Vegas was on NO).

Whatever happens tonite, I like their chances. I'd like to see the Pats win and think they have a shot, though not a great one, but it would probably be best for me if its Indy. Then there's no wishy-washy feeling on my part. And I won't piss off the rest of my Chicago loving family by taking any pleasure in a Pats win, were it to happen. :P

I picked Chicago and NE to win today. Apparently, I am virtually alone on these picks. I went on ESPN.com and saw that only one "expert" had picked the Pats, and NONE had picked Chicago.

:P

I'm a Bears fan (amazed?) and want Indy in Feb. I figure the Bears might lose to either team but I want the Patriots gone, just because. :)

In the mid '70s we almost bought a nice house within a mile of the stadium. That deal was killed when Ann and I were "bumped" from our dinner in a very nice Boston restaurant so their quarterback (don't want to type his name :) ) could have our table. We were escorted out mid-meal.

Chuck isn't Royalty in NE.

Both my teams lost. Oh, well.

I grew up in New Orleans. My family was from Boston, so the Boston Patriots were my favorite team.

My senior year in high school, New Orleans got its own team - the Saints.

I thought it would really be something if the two teams from my youth playeed each other in the Super Bowl. Wait till next year!
