I might be wrong, but I think this is a mono recording. I am listening to it right now, pressing the mono button on my preamp makes no difference. Surprising for a 2023 recording. Great music nevertheless!

That's a really interesting observation because my first impressions of the recording were that it had a seemingly narrow soundstage.

That aside, it's a very good recording and the music is definitely fantastic, I wouldn't be without it

Miss this giant big time. Had a chance to see him in a club in Cleveland, but decided not to go because I was hoping for a "Die Like A Dog" quartet; that year he died. Stupidty alas.

That is surprising. Everything at Cafe Oto is recorded to a 64 channel multitrack.

As far as I know Peter never made it back to the United States since before the pandemic. I was lucky to see his last show stateside in June 2019 / a short but nice duo with Andrew Cyrille.
