Big Al Posted December 4, 2007 Report Posted December 4, 2007 (edited) REVISED 12/11/07 The Board's not closing down, but I still reached 5000 posts! Goody for me! Below is the original post. ********************** So this thread will be my personal jazz blog to help me reach the golden 5-grand before January 1. Feel free to post anything, random thoughts, best wishes, worst witches, ANYTHING! Party like it's 2007! I'm gonna talk about anything that interests me, and I invite you to do the same (here's things that interest me: jazz and whatever you're listening to or thinking about right this minute). And above all, and I'm dead serious about this, if you don't have anything nice/good/kind to say, then stay the hell outta this thread! Call it my own little "Enchanted" thread: where the real world and the animated world collide, but I'm staying in the animated world. More fun that way, a lot less sadness and hurt. neveronfriday Posted December 4, 2007 Report Posted December 4, 2007 (edited) This might be old, don't know, but it was new to me. Something to file away for future use. If it is your "I Hate My Job" day, try this: On your way home from work, stop at your pharmacy and go to the thermometer section and purchase a rectal thermometer made by Johnson & Johnson (J & J). Be very sure you get this brand. When you get home, lock your doors, draw the curtains and disconnect the phone so you will not be disturbed. Change into very comfortable clothing and sit in your favourite chair. Open the package and remove the thermometer. Now, carefully place it on a table or a surface so that it will not become chipped or broken. Now the fun part begins. Take out the literature from the box and read it carefully. You will notice that in small print there is a statement: "Every Rectal Thermometer made by J & J is personally tested." Now, close your eyes and repeat out loud five times, "I am so glad I do not work in the thermometer quality control at J & J." Have a nice day and remember, there is always someone else with a job that is more of a pain in the ... than yours. Edited December 4, 2007 by neveronfriday Quote

RDK Posted December 5, 2007 Report Posted December 5, 2007 Gotta say, I don't usually pay much attention to post counts, but when the hell did Chuck hit 11K? His posting rate must have really increased after he started using smilies. Quote
