clifford_thornton Posted June 18, 2023 Author Report Share Posted June 18, 2023 I don't agree with his political/social views at all (i.e., homophobia and anti-abortion) but I do think he is a fantastic saxophonist and musician. The "Streets" persona was not in full view on the occasions I saw him perform. It's unlikely he will perform or record again due to ongoing health issues but I could be wrong about that. For what it's worth I interviewed him several years ago and found him to be a very kind man and an affable, intriguing conversationalist.
