Tim McG Posted May 26, 2008 Report Posted May 26, 2008 Remember that economy boosting tax rebate we were all supposed to get by mid-May? Yeah, I haven't seen it either. Check must be in the mail, huh. Quote
sidewinder Posted May 26, 2008 Report Posted May 26, 2008 Big surge in Mosaic box set orders coming up, I guess ! Quote
Jazzmoose Posted May 26, 2008 Report Posted May 26, 2008 People have been getting them here. They published a short list in the local paper of when you could expect them (based on social security number), and unfortunately, I'm in the last group. Which means I probably won't see it for at least another month. Quote
jazzbo Posted May 26, 2008 Report Posted May 26, 2008 Right Mark. . . I saw that I can expect mine near the end of July! Quote
Chalupa Posted May 26, 2008 Report Posted May 26, 2008 I e-filed this year and had our refund direct deposited. We got our check on May 5. Quote
Stereojack Posted May 26, 2008 Report Posted May 26, 2008 I got mine two weeks ago. I understand that they are being sent based on the last two numbers of one's social security number. Mine are 02 so I guess I was near the top of the list. Quote

.:.impossible Posted May 26, 2008 Report Posted May 26, 2008 Direct deposit... we've already accumulated interest! Quote
makpjazz57 Posted May 26, 2008 Report Posted May 26, 2008 I e-filed early and I'm still not getting mine 'til mid-July, which is fine - last two digits of my S.S. # are very high. Whenever it arrives, I'm sure I'll know what to do with it, which will include possibly just not spending and hangin' on to it for an emergency in the future. Marla Quote
Tim McG Posted May 26, 2008 Author Report Posted May 26, 2008 Thanks for the link, Chuck. Looks like I'll see the check sometime late-June/early-July. By then it ought to buy a gallon of gas. Quote
Shawn Posted May 26, 2008 Report Posted May 26, 2008 Through the beauty of the I.R.S. since I had my tax preparation fees deducted from my return...I don't qualify for the direct deposit so will be getting a paper check instead. WTF? Quote
Big Al Posted May 26, 2008 Report Posted May 26, 2008 Got mine. Direct deposited right to the saving account where it is accumulating approximately 2% annual interest! Quote
randissimo Posted May 26, 2008 Report Posted May 26, 2008 Got mine. Direct deposited right to the saving account where it is accumulating approximately 2% annual interest! I won't be getting a check... I'm self employed and usually don't end up owing any money to the IRS.. Quote
paul secor Posted May 26, 2008 Report Posted May 26, 2008 E-filed and we got our refund deposited to our account in early May. Quote
Dan Gould Posted May 26, 2008 Report Posted May 26, 2008 We filed for an extension so I don't know how that will effect us but I am wondering if we should compare SSNs and list the one with the lower last two digits first. Quote

You get a stimulus check if you file a return. that's not entirely true. I think you have to show $6000 joint income, $3000 as an individual to get the check. Below that you are SOL, which you were already anyway. Quote
Tom 1960 Posted May 26, 2008 Report Posted May 26, 2008 Used my stimulus check as a down payment on a new road bike. Quote
