Quincy Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 happy birthday dave!!! 60 is the new 40! Maybe it's because I'm midway thru my 40s, but I've met a couple of 60 year olds in the past year that I did think were in their 40s. Happy Birthday! Quote
papsrus Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 This is all very encouraging news and cause for much celebration!! Happy birthday. Quote
GA Russell Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 Happy Birthday Dave! Did we ever decide that the WHL's best player was a guy for the Winnipeg Jets named something like Lou Jankowski? Quote
jazzbo Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 Dave, you got there. Fret not. You're going to have a great decade! Happy birthday! Quote
BERIGAN Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 happy birthday dave!!! 60 is the new 40! Maybe it's because I'm midway thru my 40s, but I've met a couple of 60 year olds in the past year that I did think were in their 40s. .. No, it's just cuz you're old and can't see well anymore! Quote

Parkertown Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 Wishing you a great birthday Dave! Quote
Dave James Posted August 7, 2008 Report Posted August 7, 2008 Chris - Thanks for taking note of this. Great card. I generally try to fly under the radar when it comes to BD's, but I let the cat out of the bag in a note to Lon acknowledging his. Anyhow, thanks to everyone for their good wishes. When I was 20, 60 seemed like it was a thousand years away. Man, how quickly the time passes. GA - I go back long enough to remember the Winnipeg Warriors in the old WHL. Guys like Bill Mosienko and Harry Lumley. But the best of the best who played in Winnipeg was Teddy Green, Terrible Ted as he later became known, stopping for a cup of coffee in Manitoba on his way to the NHL. Up over and out. Quote
GA Russell Posted August 7, 2008 Report Posted August 7, 2008 Dave, Ted Green played for the New England Whalers their first year. My season tickets were my college graduation present. Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 Now you are living your 61st year. Quote
