i've been listening to the new ella singles collection, "jukebox ella volume 1."

man, that's some great stuff, and the sound quality is outstanding.

for all of the grief that we give verve/universal for the numerous "coltrane for lovers collections," this set is a welcome treat.

i've alos been listening to the new abbey lincoln, "it's me."

she sounds more like billie holiday than ever before.

it is quite good.
