LF: A recommendation on 3-speed turntables under $150-200

Anybody? I'm looking at this, cheap as it is: http://www.amazon.com/Jensen-3-Speed-Stereo-Turntable-Radio/dp/B000UVKE2I I can't find any overtly negative reviews, but I can't help but think there's probably more out there. MP3 conversion is not a priority; in fact I'd almost prefer one without this function, but it seems to be practically standard on the cheaper models.

Any input would be appreciated!

Why not look for older turntables? A Dual 1009, Elac Miracord or similar can be found on Craigslist or ebay for under your price range.

Some good brand names? How about Colgate-Palmolive, Amana, Lego, Nehi, Hushpuppies, Dentyne, Rolls Royce..... Why, I could go on and on!

If you can restore by yourself the few basic functions of a TT, suspensions, speed and the arm's play, you could buy every TT: Thorens, Dual, Lenco, etc.

Yes, but the music becomes less flavourful after a couple of plays.

Thanks for starting this thread. I'm looking for a 78 player to add to my system also. I was contemplating a Garrard that Whistlin' Willie's (great 78 store BTW) in Pittsburgh had but don't know enough about all this yet. Thanks for the links.
