I still love those "Jazz tribune" twofers. I bought a massive number a few years back - for "an apple and an egg" as we say around here - and they've been good to me. ... Some of the very finest big band jazz ever recorded! Would they be able to work from original masters, or were they destroyed in the Universal fire? There was a US Bluebird vinyl issue similar to the set Brownie mentioned. Thanks Chuck. I don't know how I missed these. Seems like he was under contract to other labels when he made these? In 1934 there are 3 Decca Sessions in a row. In 1936 3 Victor sessions. And in 1937/1938 6 sessions in a row for Vocalion. In the 20's it is a patch work.
