BillF Posted August 8, 2011 Report Posted August 8, 2011 OK. Who's this? Clue: an American better known to Brits like me than to Americans. Quote

JSngry Posted August 8, 2011 Report Posted August 8, 2011 Can't see either, just see the words "Posted Image". Maybe it b/c I'm on my work PC. Quote
GA Russell Posted August 8, 2011 Report Posted August 8, 2011 Lynda Carter? Nope! But Lynda Carter is a great idea for a photo! I worked with a man in the mid-80s who was good friends with her father. Here's Lynda today: But back to mine. Hint: I'm pretty sure that she is a Canadian, although she is not famous for being one. sidewinder Posted August 8, 2011 Report Posted August 8, 2011 But back to mine. Hint: I'm pretty sure that she is a Canadian, although she is not famous for being one. She definitely has a Canadian look about her. Not that I'm any the wiser.. Quote
GA Russell Posted August 8, 2011 Report Posted August 8, 2011 Post #201 hint: I saw her on Broadway in Noises Off, but she is more famous for an English television show. Quote
T.D. Posted August 8, 2011 Report Posted August 8, 2011 Wow, that's a tough one, GA! I was able to Google the answer given your hints, but won't give spoilers because I'd otherwise have had no clue. Quote
GA Russell Posted August 8, 2011 Report Posted August 8, 2011 Would a 45-year old picture of her help? Quote
GA Russell Posted August 8, 2011 Report Posted August 8, 2011 Here's what she looks like today. Quote

(I'm really surprised you haven't gotten her yet.) This is what she looked like about 1968. Quote

Stereojack Posted August 9, 2011 Report Posted August 9, 2011 Who? Thorson had the unenviable task of replacing Diana Rigg on The Avengers in 1968. Her character's name was Tara King. Quote
Brad Posted August 9, 2011 Report Posted August 9, 2011 Who? Thorson had the unenviable task of replacing Diana Rigg on The Avengers in 1968. Her character's name was Tara King. Obviously not as good as Diana Rigg but still worth watching and light years ahead of what passes today for television. Quote
GA Russell Posted August 9, 2011 Report Posted August 9, 2011 Correct, Jack! It's Linda Thorson. Since Honor Blackman and Diana Rigg had already been put up, I thought that I would complete The Avengers' triumvirate. I read once that she was quite young when she replaced Rigg, something like 19, but the photo of her today makes her look older than that, although she is still in great shape. Quote
