Miles 1969 Quintet Live in Paris

It is a double LP on the Italian "Moon" label from 1989. It is the 1969 quintet with Chick, Wayne, Dave Holland, De Johnette. Is this a boot? Is the sound any good?

IIRC sound is ok. According to Losin, it's not really from Paris but probably from 2 concerts at the Teatro Sistina in Rome on October 27, 1969.

For what it's worth, there are 2 sets of this quintet from Paris (11/3/69) that have some of the best music they ever made. Worth seeking out.

Didn't know that Moon ever did LPs, but what they released of The Lost Quintet on CD was nothing short of jaw-dropping revelatory.

And yes, they are bootlegs. Oh well!

Another bootleg that came out as vinyl as well as CD was "Two Miles Live" (Vienna 1971). Losin discography does not mention vinyl release, only CD.

Also on Jazz Door cd 1201. some distortion but not bad enough to distract significantly. IIRC the Moon vinyl was worse.

I've got the Jazz Door. Fantastic concert, but both sets have several minutes edited out. Does the vinyl version have the complete concert?

It's fantastic. At times the rhythm section really stretches out into territory reminiscent of Circle and Afternoon of a Georgia Faun.
