Dedicated... now available

Just a note that the Kickstarter Bonus Tracks, titled "Re-Dedicated", were released tonight. If you pledged $30 or more to the Kickstarter campaign, you should've received an email with links to my Google Drive to download either hi-res MP3s or FLAC files. I encoded the FLACs myself this time and added all the meta-data. Please, FLAC folks, let me know if it worked.

In other news, "Dedicated" is currently #5 on the JazzWeek charts, the highest position ever for an organissimo release! I'm very proud of this one!

Beautiful recording job, lovely music. I particularly like the knitted-together feel of the band and each piece, the sense that it all "speaks." Jim is just a genius with voicing the Hammond (if "voicing" is the right term for that), Randy is at once slick, soulful, and utterly relaxed, and Ralph is right in there. Food for the soul.

Has anyone seen this in a store somewhere? San Francisco, New York or Seattle would be ideal, since they're all on my near-term itinerary, though I'm passing through Chicago and Denver too. I don't/can't download, and I'm never in once place (predictibly) long enough to mail order.

Thanks for all the kind words. I'm proud of this one from both a playing and engineering perspective, so I'm glad people are into it.

To my knowledge, you either have to order one online or download it. As a Kickstarter backer, you should've received an email with a download link. Email me if you need me to re-send.

Thanks Jim. I did get an e-mail. I just can't download. That's MY problem, not yours.

The only computer I have is a work computer and it's totally locked-down. No e-mail, Facebook, You Tube, Twitter... It's a miracle that I can get to the organissimo boards!

We're still hanging tough on the national JazzWeek charts at #6. Our peak was #5 and we've been in the Top 10 for 6 weeks. The CD is doing really well.

That's really good news! I've been enjoying this one immensely, have played it at least 20 times in the last month.

Yes.

I was going to reveal all that in the liner notes but then we decided not to do liner notes.

Track 1 should be obvious. It's for the Marsh-man, Randy. Track 2 is dedicated to Janiva Magness and the title refers to a gig I played with her in my hometown, Lansing MI, that was pretty embarrassing for me because of the ineptitude of the local organizers. Track 3 is for my kids. Track 4 is for Joe Gloss. Track 5 is an intro to Track 6. 6 is another one for my kids. That's Stella at the end singing a song she made up about hearts. Track 7 is for a local saxophonist, Wilton Machen, who was funky as they come. We were going to record that song with him but he unfortunately passed away before it could happen. Track 8 is obviously for Don Patterson, one of my favorite organists. Track 9 is dedicated to my memories of Europe from two years ago. I went over there four times in 2011 with Janiva and had the time of my life and met some of the most wonderful people. Track 10 is for Dr. Lonnie Smith. And track 11 is for any musician who's ever had to endure a gig with a drunken bandmate (note: I've never had this problem in organissimo, but I have in other groups). :)

Thanks for that. Cool to know. As an aside- I spend countless hours every winter on my rollers training for the upcoming cycling season and this CD has been my go to music for the last 5 weeks or so. Great album front to back. Thanks for the music!
