Kind of.  I thought it was good in parts but it all seemed a bit too "suited" in that 80s style, a bit trussed up and constrained.  I will listen again though

Yes definitely for the music. The Mingus version of a brass band, it's different from his other bands. It is a needle drop, however, so not the best audio.

So the "original master tape" is a needle drop? Doesn't that imply that the "original" master tape is in fact lost?
