HutchFan Posted August 26, 2022 Report Posted August 26, 2022 Clint Houston - Inside the Plain of the Elliptic (Timeless, 1979) 2015 Solid/UltraVybe CD reissue The Clint Houston-Joanne Brackeen musical hookup is always a pleasure. This album isn't quite a potent as their duo LP New True Illusion. But it's close. Quote

jazzbo Posted August 26, 2022 Report Posted August 26, 2022 Miles Davis "Miles Smiles" Sony 20bit LP facsimile cd. Of all the versions of this I think this is the one I enjoy listening to most. I don't like SBM as done by Blue Note, but I do really enjoy a lot of the Sony cds using that tech. Followed by Immanuel Wright, "Omega" Blue Note cd. This has become a favorite. Quote

Rabshakeh Posted August 27, 2022 Report Posted August 27, 2022 Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis & Johnny Griffin – Battle Stations (Prestige, 1963) Such an excellent date. Query whether it is the best of all the records that they did together. It's a high bar. Quote
