Art Pepper / Shelly Manne – Pepper ManneR-6081035-1410566088-7123.jpg.cb15c3707c06a35f9dc52ade00179ce7.jpg

Does anyone know the story behind this one? I had assumed it was a Shelly Manne does Afro-Cuban record. Is it just a half and half or are these reissues? There seems to be very little info out there.

Have the Art Pepper tracks on another  Art pepper vinyl

This seems to mention that the Manne tracks used to be separate. What were the Art Pepper tracks on?

Like their three cds of Strayhorn material, this is excellent.

Just arrived, went straight into the player and is beginning as we speak. Most immediate impression is the astounding clarity of the recording.

And now the horns, wonderful! This is going to be fun!

Bob James - Hands Down

Rare to get a consistently great Bob James record, and this isn't one. But as always there are some great singles.

Manny Albam – The Jazz Greats Of Our Time - Vol. 2R-4198565-1561653638-6524.jpg.d55d2451f2a1b793eab15c5cb4c560fb.jpg

This one on the other hand is a great record all the way through. Absolute corker.
