Rabshakeh Posted November 15, 2024 Report Posted November 15, 2024 Dave Weckl – Heads Up A bunch of players that I don't necessarily care about and a very dated sound, but it is still a good record. Everything about it just pops. 4 hours ago, HutchFan said: What's this one like? Quote

jazzbo Posted November 16, 2024 Report Posted November 16, 2024 (edited) Another cool and damp morning. We’re finally getting typical November weather, though I think we’ll have a few warmer and sunnier days starting tomorrow. I love the quiet and peaceful vibe of this time of morning outside. Started off with a re-spin of some of the Garland at the Prelude disc 1 then saw Ron Carter talking about Stanley Turrentine’s “Sugar” on Facebook and decided to spin this “CITI-RVG” cd version from King Records Japan. What a great session with Freddie Hubbard and George Benson and Ron Carter. Edited November 16, 2024 by jazzbo Quote
jazzbo Posted November 16, 2024 Report Posted November 16, 2024 (edited) Re-listeing to disc 5 of this new box set. In part because it is one of the parts of this box set I did not have before, and in part because I just don’t want to get to the end of this set so am saving disc 6 for . . . probably tomorrow.
