They seem less dense than they did in the past and I love the airy layers. This Blu-Spec CD2 edition really does sound great. 👍 Quote

jazzbo Posted 18 hours ago Report Posted 18 hours ago (edited) Boogaloo Joe Jones “Legends of Acid Jazz vol. 2” Prestige cd My system is really all about MUSIC for me and the way it is presenting this music is just as if I’m in a dream. I have really dialed this whole beast into the time and space machine I’ve always wanted. Just amazes me. Jones is one of my favorite soul jazz guitarists, I love the way he made guitars “sing,” especially the Barney Kessell Gibson signature model he was often pictured with. jazzbo Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago Not quite as cool as yesterday, but a sweet, still morning. My wife is sleeping well after a stressful day. I’m enjoying the opportunity to listen. Starting off with an LP from the shelves downstairs, “Ruby Braff with the Ed Bickert Trio” Sackville LP. Great song choices! Bass, Recorded By – Don Thompson Drums – Terry Clarke Guitar – Ed Bickert Trumpet – Ruby Braff Recorded at Puget Sound, Toronto on June 14, 1979. Quote
