Peter Friedman Posted Monday at 07:48 PM Report Posted Monday at 07:48 PM I am not really a fan of Michael Urbaniak. But when I saw his sidemen included Kenny Barron, Peter Washington and Kenny Washington, I wanted to hear this album. Quote

Stompin at the Savoy Posted Tuesday at 12:21 AM Report Posted Tuesday at 12:21 AM Freddie Green very up front and audible on this album. This is becoming a fave. It's like the archetypal small group swing date. Quote

T.D. Posted Tuesday at 04:03 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 04:03 PM This is actually a good album (Euro-jazz fusion, 1974) This is an unusual crossover project but great fun to listen to. Quote

jcam_44 Posted Wednesday at 12:30 AM Report Posted Wednesday at 12:30 AM Markus Rutz - Many Moons picked this up on a whim from Dusty, due to the inclusion of Greg Ward on it. He's only on one track but it does include Sharel Cassity on a handful of other tracks which is a plus. On first listen I really enjoy it. Very modern compositions, in the vein of Roy Hargrove's Earfood if i had to compare. My jazz listening isn't as frequent as it used to be so I may be off with the comparison. Quote
