Next up:  The album Resonance Big Band Plays Tribute to Oscar Peterson.  It's a tribute to Oscar Peterson, released in 2009. This recording is the first major tribute to Peterson.  Conceived by George Klabin, the album features arrangements of Peterson recordings and introduces Marian Petrescu as the featured Piano soloist.

Recorded live at Cloitre des Celestins in Avignon, France on July 19th, 1972.

I haven’t played any live Lateef in a while, sure is fun to listen to this morning.

Alice Babs and Duke Ellington “Serenade to Sweden” cd

Now a focus on Ellington trombones and Alice Babs, an excellent session recorded in Stockholm.

If ever there is a jazz album that could use the Plangent Process. . . I think this one would benefit heavily, there seems to be a wobble to the sound.
