I know - I have both versions and they were both issued in 2018. just curious about the reason.

All speculative but I'm wondering if some music fans' aversion to multiple takes of the same songs drove them to release an "album" version vs the complete. Multiple versions of studio-recorded Impressions make the 2 CD version an automatic purchase IMO. But looking back, when I got it I didn't even know there was a single CD option. I'd have gone for the 2 CD regardless.

Have a little time with the system again and this one caught my eye and called to me. I really like the first of the two “shows” released here. The sound quality is excellent, and “Round Midnight” is really interesting to hear.

Bouncing in my head while I was tinkering with the cars outside was a tune from “The Spirit of Condon” – Louis Armstrong’s “Someday You’ll be Sorry.” I’ve learned the wisdom in that song a few times. Need something to push that tune out so. . . .

“Count Basie & Friends–100th Birthday Bash” Roulette 2 cd set, disc 1

Pulled this from the shelves, a great collection of great Basie in that Roulette sound.

Grateful Dead “To Terrapin–Harford '77” Disc 1 of 3

It’s been too long since I heard some guitar from Jerry. And much longer since I listened to this show.

Man, the system is really warmed up and sounding great.
