This morning is nice and cool and Fiona is feeling feisty. We bobbed along around “the block” with a flashlight even before the songbirds were talking. This is a wonderful time of year.

Starting off with a new arrival:

Cannonball Adderley “POPPIN’ IN PARIS: LIVE AT L’OLYMPIA 1972” Elemental Music cd

This one is all about George Duke so far!

I heard one track on the radio, sounded really interesting, lots of Duke.

Nat King Cole “Live At The Blue Note Chicago” Iconic 2 cd set

Culled from TEN HOURS of recordings, this two cd set is great fun for Cole fans. Sound is decent enough. John Collins and Lee Young on board–which are definitely factors that made me make sure to corner a copy of this and luckily it wasn’t too hard.

Working on the radio show and decided to include this Eddie Vinson tune.
I was a bit surprised to learn that it was written by the parents of Pete Cosey!
