Peter Friedman Posted January 14, 2020 Report Posted January 14, 2020 Disc 1 I really love Morgan's 50's recordings. This disc has sidemen such as Clarence Sharpe, Horace Silver, Wilbur Ware, and Philly Joe Jones on 7 tracks. The remaining 3 tracks have Kenny Rodgers (Alto), Hank Mobley, Horace Silver, Paul Chambers and Charlie Persip. Quote

Peter Friedman Posted January 14, 2020 Report Posted January 14, 2020 This is a CD that features great jazz from the 40's. The number of musicians who play here in a variety of groups is extremely large. One track even has vocals from both Stan Kenton and Benny Goodman. Another interesting item is that 2 tunes with group titled "Ten Cats And A Mouse" has Peggy Lee on drums. Quote
