JSngry
Both Alice Russell & Amy Winehouse get remixed by the "white label" crowd some, & truthfully, I like what the remixers put behind their vocals more than what gets replaced if for no other reason than it brings better attention to the vocals. But I can see the attraction of bands like those at your local pub or club. You'd have a bloody good evening/night out with them. So, good. Tom 1960
Anyone got the new one? I usually could care less about todays music for the most part, but this has floored me. I think it's great!
BruceH
Did anyone see them on Colbert a few days ago? Sharon Jones did a funny interview with Colbert and then the whole group performed a song. It was pretty damn great.
neveronfriday
I'm a huge fan of Jones & The Dap-Kings. Have everything (almost, I think) they've put out. My weekends often start with their releases. Just ... fun! Groovy.

BFrank
Good stuff! I saw her/them last month in Austin. Well worth seeing live if you get a chance. There was a short, entertaining interview in Sunday's NY Times. Edited April 29, 2010 by BFrank

Great album!!! This is their best album since "Naturally." Some really great songs here. I'm particularly loving "Better Things," written by Homer Steinweiss, their drummer. Great song!
