A favourite volume of this superb series .... worth the ticket of entry alone for the unreleased version of Dixie Nightingales "All I Need Is Some Sunshine In My Life" ..... not of this world ....

Massive Attack "Mezzanine" (Virgin Records)                                                             1998 ....

I still remember hearing that for the first time.

A truly great band who even this week were proving how ahead of the pack they still are with their hometown gig with minimal environmental impact.

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - Ghosteen

Cave left me behind a few years ago, I used to be a very big fan.

Listening to this I'm wondering if I should go and listen to the albums I have missed. This is very strong.

That was a big album for me when it was released, haven't heard it in years. I wonder how well it dates.

Now listening to this. It's aged very well. Such a "clever" album with all its influences and parts working towards such a satisfying whole. It sounded both of and out of its time on release and to some extent still does

Thanks for encouraging me to reinvestigate after 20+ years
