Hopefully, I’ll be able to catch the 26th‑anniversary commemorative project of this album live at the Noches del Botánico festival on June 3rd in Madrid, with Enrique Morente’s son, Kiki, taking his place. 30th-freaking-anniversary… how time slips away! 😢 Quote

Unlike the records that followed 2112, which got more and more multi-layered and complex, which I really like (love Hemispheres and Farewell to Kings) Signals was not an attempt to "how do you top that?" I think that's what I really like about this album. It is not a follow-up to Moving Pictures. Quote
Dub Modal Posted February 15 Report Posted February 15 Leroy Smart's Musical Don: https://leroysmart.bandcamp.com/album/musical-don From '88. Recently remastered by Crucial Bunny. Steely & Clevie involved, as was Jackie Mittoo. Unexpected quality on this one. Definitely recommend if you dig reggae and don't mind/enjoy that 80s Jamaican sound. Quote
Dub Modal Posted February 15 Report Posted February 15 Tony Tuff's Wha we a go do Sly on drums (RIP). Amazing album that VP just reissued, digitizing it for the first time. Been a reggae fan for decades now and have never seen this one before. Better late than never. Quote
