Rabshakeh Posted July 25, 2022 Report Posted July 25, 2022 (edited) Imamu Amiri Baraka – It's Nation Time - African Visionary Music (MoTown, 1972) I had no idea that this had been rereleased in 2018. For whatever reason, Sounds of the Universe in Soho has a bunch of them. Sounds great. just realised that this should be in the vinyl section. Edited July 25, 2022 by Rabshakeh Quote

HutchFan Posted July 25, 2022 Report Posted July 25, 2022 (edited) And next... James Moody - Moody's Mood for Blues (Prestige/OJC) Originally released as two LPs: James Moody's Moods and Moody I love this music, but I will say this: There's just too much usage of the words "Moody" and "Moods." It's confusing as hell -- and it reminds me of the way that Junior Cook continually released album titles that punned on his last name. I'm not a fan of that. O.K. do it maybe one time. After that, cut it out. Enough already. It's a pet peeve of mine. Edited July 25, 2022 by HutchFan Quote
