  8. Bingo! There ta'go. Now to find the album this version is on? Indeed. The three ECM albums by that trio are distinctively delightful. They form yet another chapter of Carla's evolution. She covered SO much ground in her life!
  9. Thanks. Wow, that was recorded in 2019, released in 2020 and AFAICT (admittedly via Wikipedia) is Carla Bley's last recording.
  10. The JATP format did encourage grandstanding that could get excessive. But the quality and individuality of many of the musicians on this box saves it all. For me, just the prospect of more Lester Young made buying this set a no brainer.

  15. I actually played quite a bit of this box when I got it and enjoyed the music but I don't think I've played it since. There's a lot of jamming here and you almost have to wonder, "Do I need all of this"?
