  1. Dude, that is 7 years after our first born and 3 after our second. Why should I take you seriously?
  2. I think I might have done that some time ago.
  3. Really not trying to be snotty, but it is interesting to digest the opinions of folks who were possibly introduced to the blues by Butterfield, Bloomfield, Clapton, Mayall, SRV, etc. As I indicated earlier, my personal interest/standards were established before these guys were on the scene. In my earlier post (#43 for the interested) I neglected to mention Luther Tucker, Hubert Sumlin, Louis Myers, Jimmy Rogers, and a host of other sidemen. I should say I consider "the blues" to be a vocal music with instrumental "commentary".
  4. Dinah?
  5. Do these guys play with balls or pucks?
  6. Carla introduced us to Nastyass Honey Badger over the July 4 weekend. It went viral.......... Great stuff.
  7. When I recorded Ira in the late '70s (for his "comeback") one night he brough Guy to replace Wilbur Campbell on a tune or two. Wilbur played the studio vibes then. Not issued, but I still have the multi-tracks.
  8. I thought you were asking how to stop the reviewers.
  9. They may be expensive but the only other Christlieb titles I find worth buying are the two Criss Cross discs with Warne. Pete is a wonderful player.
  10. The VV cover is an abomination. I pay for printing/scans of this type and would have changed suppliers.
  11. Runner-up might be Jimmy Zitano. Or Guy Viveros.
  12. Sounds about right John. Jarman joined in late 1968.
  13. It evolved from RM quartet, to sextet to quintet and eventually the Roscoe Mitchell Art Ensemble (to cover the changing size of the group). At some point Roscoe made the group a cooperative and after Jarman joined permanently they became the Art Ensemble, without Roscoe's name in front.
  14. I can understand that. I'm just coming from a different place.
  15. Columbia 6 eye stereo. Had not listened for years and had forgotten about the fake "live" crap. Good playing and sound though.
  16. U behind - don't even put in now.
  17. I remember when you put recordings on, not in.
  18. Have to admit I never "got" Clapton. By the time he was around I had a few years of listening to Muddy, Buddy, Otis, JB Hutto and Wolf in clubs. edit for typo.
  19. No price listed, but available next Tuesday - Elvin Mosaic
  20. Bad Food Bad Hockey Bad Singing
  21. You are wondering about Clapton???
  22. I said that earlier.
  23. Hah! I just checked to see if the was Amazon.crap ! And if anyone cares, I am about to quit.
