  1. We could re-word that to say Sony is trying to get as many dollars as they can before Euro PD sets in.
  2. I knew from the first pic.
  3. Sounds like the calculations I used to make for Coltrane at the Plugged Nickel.
  4. The only review I see is dated Oct. 2010 & is allegedly from the vinyl LP. Is that a problem? The review isn't very well written & includes several spelling errors. My bad. I didn't scroll down to the review, just reacted to the top of the page with the 5 star notice for unissued product.
  5. The cd is a reissue of an lp on Fountain. I'm sure the transfers are the same. Four of the extra tracks are from Brunswick/Vocalion. Not sure which other tracks are missing on your lp.
  6. BTW, lots of fine bonus tracks being lost along the way. For example I think they should have included Number One on the Expression disc. I understand the format but will not be buying the future boxs including lp issues of the leftovers.
  7. I'm looking forward to the issue but bummed by the "advance" review. Not cool in my book.
  8. It will never end.
  9. Japanese release I see. Over $50 for a single cd. I don't think so.
  10. A bitter cheese from my memory.
  11. He was murdered. Go search conspiracy theories.
  12. It worked for him.
  13. Sometimes an award worth winning.
  14. Didn't know that but I'm not surprised. He was a great actor. I was a big fan of the excesses of Ken Russell. These seemed to be the tainted whipped cream on the era.
  15. He was in a favorite of mine - "Women In Love".
  16. I believe we are talking about the same group. They just rubbed me the wrong way.
  17. Thanks for the link. I downloaded it with Firefox.
  18. Don't know but as far as I know he hasn't worked for Uptown yet.

    Good luck.
  20. Crap marketed by people with no understanding reality. Leonard Feather's last attempt at immortality.
  21. All my interest in early stuff is now focused on the Jazz Oracle JRM release. Nice price from Amazon but I have to wait for the "official release date" in October. Thought of buying it from Worlds Records (they claim to have it now) but the price/shipping combo put me out of the box. I think the retail music business is cutting their own throats. BTW, the Jazz Oracle site doesn't even mention this issue - all their time is spent touting the Red Nichols box sets.
  22. None of them could hit a fastball.
