  1. The human/horse sex scene. Did you miss that?
  2. Bad parlor game. I am sure you can find some reference to the banning of "Bambi" (This book made my child cry.). This is too easy.
  3. I did not denigrate the colored records. I only had one (a yellow stereo of Gerald Wilson's first) and it was fine. FWIW, I bought this as a new release so I think they were issued at the same time as the monos.
  4. Probably this one:
  5. Complex 'cause they have fewer mallets than fingers.
  6. Might have some BBQ chips tonight. Pork chops, home made potato salad, etc. Thanks to the wonderful Ann.
  7. Just canceled my airline ticket.
  8. I tried that approach ....nada, zip, zilch, dead parrot ..... Whatever the reason, nice to see you back here.
  9. So, are you playing the "weak but sensitive male" role tonight?
  10. Thanks for the info. The original cover is gorgeous. You don't need to see Herbie's disembodied head.
  11. Between these issues, it was issued as a Mann disc in the UAJ series - the ones with the b/w covers like Money Jungle and Three Blind Mice.
  12. Dang, sorry to be so late. Hope the next year is dandy and your grooves are clear of crud.
  13. Many are hoping I don't respond.
  14. Don't want to start another thread so I will use this one to note the following: A couple of mp3 downloads for the curious are available at DESTINATION OUT..
  15. I'm pretty sure it was Columbia Records but might have been RCA. When I am in LA (maybe Dec., maybe sooner) I'll see if I still have my 1968 calendar. The listed engineer is Mickey Crawford. I believe he worked for RCA at the time and Don always liked using RCA studios. Eight months later he recorded I'll Catch the Sun at RCA in LA.
  16. Well, dang me.
  17. I tried to get him to reissue it for years. He has it on a very back burner.
  18. For MPS. He did a bunch of these. Prestige was over for him and Cobblestone wasn't going yet.
  19. I'm sure Allen Lowe died a few years ago.
  20. East Berlin was an "extra" not included in the box.
  21. The Google search bar on Firefox has done this for a while and I like it.
