I decry the potential degradation of "primary sources" for a few "audiophile" consumers.

Okay that's the first one of these that made me laugh out loud. Also watched the original clip which came up right after it - only slightly better. Still, these things make me want to put away the guitar forever - just in case. Those of us surviving the last half of the '60s saw crap like this all the time.

That's debatable. Plus most (not all) of BN mono is simple stereo fold downs. You're right, but the fold down process improves the mixes considerably. I'm convinced RVG set his levels for an optimum mono balance. Have you worked with Rudy?
