  1. "Logging in" is a favorite around here.
  2. Is this the largest concern for members here? Life is way too soft.
  3. Is this the Edith Piaf tribute date you mentioned?
  4. or did he have nekked wimmen under his nose?
  5. Depends on if the meaning of "bad" is "bad".
  6. I would say this is an accurate statement. "outlandishly rate men walking past our coffee table from 1 to 10." You do that but don't let the guy hear it.
  7. I think Have No Fear is available directly from Chuck. As is Serenade & Blues.
  8. Was he a member here?
  9. To all subscribers of the Bruyninckx Jazz discography on CD-ROM. In mid-October will finally be released edition 6 containing A-K with additions, amendements and actualizations up to December 2006, L-Z as in edition 5. The delay was caused by loads of information supplied by Michel Ruppli and Erik Raben (whose project Jazz Records is practically dead). Unlike the previous editions this one will allow you to enter own texts and additions without buying expensive software. Subscriber price for edition 6: EUR 75.00 Edition 7 (containing A-Z actualized) will be published in 2009 at a similar price.
  10. Because corporations are faceless entities hell bent for profit....not responsibility. You are smarter than you appear.
  11. If you can't control it, take the consequences. Let them die for their errors. It would happen to humans, why not corporations?
  12. By that time the answer is "a recognizable tune to play at gigs" for white audiences. Nothing wrong musically.
  13. Get what out more?
  14. A great suggestion. It reminded me of the 2 Morgan Vee Jays as well.
  15. From the same era as the BN dates I recommend Horace's "Further Explorations". Favorite leader dates include "Mosaic", "Glass Bead Games" and "The Adventurer".
  16. Don't know but I'd check it out.
  17. FWIW, the series started as 5 (or more) lps on the Fairmont label. The source material was a series of acetates comissioned by Mel Torme. The notes to the Fairmonts thanked Mel for the material. Jerry Valburn is a whole 'nuther story.
  18. I should have said Mel Torme acetates.
  19. Are these shows still from the Mel Torme tapes?
  20. If I read the story correctly, if he'd been sporting a condom he'd be ok.
  21. I couldn't agree more. To avoid duplication, the Birdland date is included in the BN/Pacific Jazz box.
  22. Yes, 2 alternates included in the "complete" box are omitted. All the master takes seem to be included.
