  1. Probably gone since the new requirement seems to be 150 x 150. We all want to be larger.
  2. I prefer early Woods such as these:
  3. The daddy of them all.
  4. Clem and I seem to have the same defect. 'cept I know it's Werner Klemperer.
  5. I don't know. I don't buy that crap.
  6. What label is that? Lonehill? Is that a comp of Savoy material? Will spin Modern Wondows Suite tonight. Curson is a special kind of trumpeter-kind of like Woody Shaw-he is able to play in all kinds of settings and sounds convincing in each of those cases. That was an Audio Fidelity issue. Since their logo is gone, I guess it's a "Spanish" issue.
  7. Might be, but I have never seen that. If you want to credit the "sidemen", I might agree but......
  8. I found alittle on google, including this- http://cgi.ebay.com/1-CENT-CD-Billy-Mitche...7QQcmdZViewItem freakin' 1 cent, anyone own it? any good? BUY IT. Jeez.
  9. Please UNDERSTAND, the recording biz as known here is imploding. Get what 'cha wanna.
  10. A Google search on Anderson gives you a fair amount if info. The Texas guys might give you stuff about Mitchell.
  11. Please clarify. Is Sun Ra backwards, is the instrument backwards or does he invert all notes?
  12. This is an amazing document but I must say the edited lp version gave me a more positive feeling for the gig. Monk seems very happy/engaged on this job and the same energy does not seem to carry over to the subsequent Jazz Workshop gig. The Workshop set is fine, just not the same. Dumped the vinyl when the cds arrived and I felt a bit of a "let-down". I would never dispose of the cds but wish I still had the vinyl. I will probably start another topic comparing the two versions of the Jazz Workshop packages. I find disturbing timing discrepancies between issues.
  13. I like it too. That is Ajaramu.
  14. BTW, I first encountered him here:
  15. figures. You an accountant or actuary?
  16. My wife and I are firstborn. Coincidentially both of us have younger siblings.
  17. I still think it's the player(s), not the discs.
  18. Yes the one on the right was one of those folding boxes. I got that one when it came out. I don't think Hat has reissued the 2nd lp from Braxton's Composition 98. The live version on that record is dandy. I do have the single cd issued, but still have the lps.
  19. I think his friends called him Vaseline.
  20. Potter's "Lift Hole Thru Barcode" has been a favorite for years.
  21. Vaseline.
