Chris and I had a pleasant "semi-professional relationship" for over 20 years - until he called me a liar and thief. I was functioning as an Arhoolie distributor and he called to say I was past due on paying an invoice. I checked and discovered it had been paid - I suggested he check to see if his accountant neglected to enter the payment. After he swore at me, I photocopied both sides of the check and sent it to him. He insisted it was a fake and demanded I send the original to him as proof. I declined to send the only "proof" I had and that ended the relationship.

Was that review in Jazz Times?
