  2. The Keynote lp box has 21 "well filled" lps. Bunch of stuff not on cd. Probably another 4 or 5 cds.
  3. Geez!
  4. I should think that it's implied. I know that I've mentioned "copyright holders" several times.
  5. As someone benefiting from good/great retail stores, we should all stop and thank Russ Solomon for his creation of the Tower stores. They were good for consumers, artists and labels. For the most part, those days are gone and we all lose as a result. Thanks to Russ, Marvin Saines, etc.
  6. Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't "clubs" like YourMusic, BMG, etc. log the items they offer for sale as "promos" & therefore deprive the artist of royalties from sale of said items? No stones being cast here, I'm as big of a bottom-feeder as there is, but.... That is true. BUT the artists have signed these royalties away as part of the "promotion package" in their contract. No value judgement here.
  7. I have few problems with the stores selling promos. I have a huge problem with the recipients of promos selling them! I have dealt with this before on the board.
  8. Bought it when issued and always thought of it as a good 10" lp.
  9. Be sure to cover the outside with scribblings from green magic markers.
  10. Nope. She may be inoffensive (as you seem to wish) but I don't have a clue.

  12. After 20+ years in our neighborhood we know vans stop at the end of the block and gazillions of kids jump out. It would take about 200 lbs of snickers to live thru the night. Ann and I will go to a movie and eat at some bistro. We will be back when the crowd is gone.

  15. Jenkibs is one of my faborates.
  16. The most important thing is "having an idea of 'what to do'" and he should have that. One time (circa 1967) Roscoe, Lester, Joseph, Malachi and (maybe) Phillip Wilson were playing at an informal session at the University of Chicago. Joseph moved to piano (for a short time) and did "all the right things" to add to the texture and move the music along. I'll never forget it. Not really of "importance" overall, but nice to have in the mix.
  17. Absolutely!
  18. I believe it is PC only.
  19. I think you folks are forgetting the art directors. Much of the praise/blame belongs to them.
