  1. Under his name Free Wheelin' and a SteepleChase date. More sideman dates with Marsh, Konitz, etc. Very interesting player.
  2. what's an ebo? Not fair editing for spelling after you've been called on it Twizzler.
  3. I think it belongs in theater.
  4. Word to the wise: Rozerem may cause extra whore moans. I heard it on tv, so it must be true.
  5. Too old to be in the loop. Goodbye Rod.
  6. If I win the lottery tonight, I'll be there. Give Roscoe my greetings and love.
  7. More "fine" arguements wit other statements in the post, BUT I love reading Brendel. It gives much more pleasure than later "mannered" recordings but I do have a soft spot for the Vox stuff. Not all of it is interesting but much of it is.
  8. I have both Cora lps. The second is called The Healers. I prefer both of them to the Pausa. Absolutely nothing wrong with the Pausa, I just prefer the Coras. The Healers - Cora 02 recorded in Pointe-a-Pitre, Guadeloupe 1. The Healers (9:08) 2. Blue Antillais (7:09) 3. Blue Moses (13:38) 4. Nite in M'Bari (10:17) 5. A Prayer For Us All (7:55) 6. Nite in Medina (7:02)
  9. No Chicago members went to the gig last night? Shame.
  10. That don't fit the theories dude. Those folks work better in a vacuum. It would be great if everyone would die so their "facts" were the word.
  11. Trojans Rubbers Dubbers
  12. Mostly, I think you're right, Chuck. But I've seen some in which the hole really ISN'T in the centre - you can see the edge of the disc going in and out as it turns. MG In that instance, the error is in trimming the flash. The "hole" is fixed on the press.
  13. To be accurate, the stamper is mounted off center. The hole is in the right place.
  14. Add Bill Dixon and Tadd Dameron.
  15. You can access Gramophone's review archive on their site HERE.
  16. News to me.
  17. Heard the band last night. I urge any and all to check them out if you have the chance. Terrific show with interesting charts and very good playing. AND they were a lot of fun. I think Johnny will surprise a lot of you.
  18. I can supply the Monk/Mulligan slipcase.
  19. Shared a beer in an empty bar with him one day in 1963. I'll never forget it and he will never remember it.
  20. As Lenny Bruce would say, "you betta' off".
  21. Good to have it available but no big deal.
  22. Cheery.
  23. The basket thing always works for me.
