  1. Charo makes me really nervous. She's done that for about 30 years.

  3. You could try THIS
  4. I only have a couple of his recordings and from that example agree with the statements made so far.
  5. I too am a big fan of the gecko.
  6. I bet he's referring to the "Legendary Classics" series of the late '80s. I still have the Monteux Eroica (plus rehearsal) from that program and is should sound much better.
  7. Don't think anyone mentioned the JSP set ignores the 2 sessions from 1939 giving the RCA eleven more tracks and Sidney Bechet to boot.
  8. Couple of days ago I was in Kentucky - Mammoth Cave National Park - driving down the road and a dude on a bike is weaving side to side. I surmise he's either drunk or "emotionally disabled" and cut a huge curve around him. As I passed, he's on a friggin' phone!
  9. Could I be any "softer"?
  10. I think this team has convinced coach K to stay away from the pro teams. Unless he's a friggin' idiot.
  11. He did work that was part of my life. I am grateful. Thanks Mr Goldblatt.
  12. Hope you might have something besides commerce to discuss next time you post.
  13. All the stress will make you stronger. More bs to follow. All the best.
  14. My sister loves that band. Please post her cell number for interested parties.
  15. Wouldn't it be easier if we all just put our money in Nessa Records? Same deal.
  16. I went "something else" in both categories. Part 1: Can't believe you didn't mention Sausage McGriddles. Part 2: Rumsfeld Pentagon.
  17. I was introduced to this stuff on a juke box in the "Student Union" at the University of Iowa. I was a freshman and delighted to find this hip box.
  18. This is all too serious. I suggest taking the bucks and start a jazz label. Buy some Sonny Stitt masters, then start a recording program with Braxton, Vandermark and Brotzmann. Don't forget to add me to the promo list for the suggestion. Edit to add - make this a vinyl only operation.
  19. The only Monk in Philly recordings I know are a trio set with Jimmy Bond and Tootie Heath. "Thank you, you......Philadelphians."
  20. FWIW, I did some work for SteepleChase at the time of the "Radioland" issues and the band members were paid. That series was included in a contract the label had with Dexter.
  21. Not a chance in hell of this happening. Those folks were not born.
