    Back in 1966, Russo lived in Chicago and wrote record reviews for Down Beat. One day he walked into the Jazz Record Mart with a few review copies to sell. That is how I got a first pressing on Sun Ra's Magic City.

    We are prohibited from driving and the emergency vehicles can't get through. Streets might be cleared in 2 days. Just watched some silly citizen with a vehicle w/blade try to go down our street. Big FAIL. He backed out and went home.

    Governor orders National Guard to Buffalo. County Executive says 2/3ds of the emergency vehicles are struck.

    Shit's still happening here - snow and winds for a day or 2. Currently 12 degrees. Buffalo snow plows idled because of visibility.

    6 or 8 inches so far, but the wind is so strong I can't see across the street through the sideways snow. Travel is forbidden in Buffalo and Eire County. Temp dropped from 39 to 12. Friends half an hour south have 2 feet.
