Those records were produced by my friend Bob Porter. I remember him at a NAIRD convention, walking around with a Walk Man offering new Lester Young solos to anyone willing to put the headphones on.

Bob told me about this. I believe it had some relationship with Selmer musical instruments. I know there were some Erroll Garner sides on Selmer in the '40s.
My favorite Sinfoniettas are Ancerl and Horenstein. The Horenstein version is slow and gloomy - I asked him about that (in 1969) and he said something like "This is patriotic music and must be interpreted according to the times".
