  1. I think "Shut Yo Mouth" would make a great tune, with Jim and Joe improvising to the chord changes from "Shaft".
  2. Aren't you the "Scott B----" listed as a sponsor in the liners? As the saying goes: money talks.
  3. Yeah, the good ol' Evolution Scam.
  4. Perhaps the more pertinent question is whether she has the same dream.
  5. Volume 1 is now available (I guess it was far behind ).
  6. Actually, I think it's time we start saying you're "almost sixty."
  7. Next up for me: I'm queued up through March 2008. I use the queue as sort of a wish list, and reshuffle occasionally to get what what most appeals to me at the moment up near the top.
  8. Why haven't I seen this for sale on Ebay yet?
  9. TM, I hope you appreciate that the man took time out on his FIFTIETH BIRTHDAY to answer your question.
  10. So it's true, Lon??? You take an innocent trip to Hawaii, and now you're busted by FIVE-O???
  11. Happy Birthday, Lon! 50, huh? DAMN, you're old! (Actually, I'll be there myself next year. )
  12. Don't know about that, but this is going to be the cover photo: It's from the famous session of "Julia Plays Monkfish." And here's another Francis Wolff photo to be included in the booklet, of Julia at a session in Rudy Van Gelder's kitchen: It promises to be quite a tasty set.
  13. I've heard they're currently in negotiations with PBS for a Complete Julia Child box set, and that they've pretty much nailed down an agreement with the Food Network to do an Emeril Lagasse Select. BAM!
  14. 'cept now we'll have to spread rumors about something else.
  15. Now, if they'd just change the name of the group to GUITARISSIMO. (Damn, they're goes any hope of decent inscriptions on my CD from Jim and Randy.) ← Too much pressure. I'd rather be the "secret weapon". ← Stealth Guitar:
  16. Only in your fantasies, Dan--well, at least with respect to Christina.
  17. Now, if they'd just change the name of the group to GUITARISSIMO. (Damn, they're goes any hope of decent inscriptions on my CD from Jim and Randy.)
  18. At the moment, this CD is ranked NUMBER FOUR (that's right--not 400 or 4,000, but number 4) in sales on Amazon. This has to be some sort of record for a jazz recording of any kind, let alone a 60-year old one. I guess it helps to be mentioned in the NY Times.
  19. And the even more relaxed no-shirt look:
  20. Of course, there was the more relaxed 1950's open-shirt look:
  21. I dunno--I think it would look a lot better with a guitar (and a real shirt and tie).
  22. I wonder if Anita is aware of this sudden flurry of activity for her?
