  1. After a summer trip in '73 - I think it was a percussion clinic - I came home and discovered that the family dog had got hold of that record and chewed off a giant portion of the corner of the cover. I remember being so upset. Yes, I've bought multiple copies since, but I've always kept that very first copy for some bizarro reason. Now Playing:

  5. Part Two (If you're still interested) [25:52] (from July 31 of this year)
  6. I was looking for the "news" thread and I couldn't find it, so if anyone want to move this to the "Weird News Tonight" thread, that would be fine with me. I just noticed it when someone else just posted there.

  13. Hmmm, interesting. So, a guy resigns over six years ago after suggesting that there should be a discussion about (the seriously loaded phrase) “cultural appropriation” and somehow this is connected to a recent opinion piece on social media bickering?
  14. Mike Osborne - alto sax Alan Skidmore - tenor sax Harry Miller - double bass Louis Moholo - drums
  15. I understand that there's an "UltraReality" version of "A Love Supreme" that arrives in the mail as an AI-based hologram with a small-box setup. All you have to provide is a stage for the musicians to play on and you'll have the "studio" recording right there for you to enjoy! Unfortunately, it may still not be "real" enough because you forgot to use your Debrox® Earwax cleaning kit as thoroughly as you should've.
  16. Thanks for the heads-up! I went to that show in ‘86, so that’ll be an extra treat.
  17. Have never been on any of these big name social sites except after discovering the proper structure of Mastodon ... and even then, there's so much going on there that it can be a bit overwhelming and I don't read it but for a few minutes a week. I don't see any reasons to post there (and what am I gonna say that's somehow worthwhile, needed or desired?) There's ONE Faceplant page that I visit, but I just send emails to the person that's the head-face there and he'll thank me for the info and post it even tho I was just sending it to him and not meaning for it to be for the Facedroids ... but that's the extent of it. People crow about friends and family that congregate on Facecrook, so that's why they stay (remember "email," folks?) even if it's a giant poop stain on social identities and analytical thought.
