  3. Yeah, but they’ve released stuff nearly every year since then.
  4. I've always disliked her intensely since that first album. With friends, we used to always refer to her as Rickie Heroin in the 80s - I think it was that awfully contrived self-styled bohemianism in her voice along with those strained "cool & hip" mannerisms that really were extremely laughable. The Orb - on the other hand - is Alex Patterson's (ad)venture that I gladly latched onto in the early 90's. I still have some rare sides and special limited editions (LPs in PVC packaging - some unopened - for instance.) "Prism," which is the latest, came out last week.
  5. If you look at the notes, you'll see that she lovingly names her contrabass flute, "Bertha."

  10. I've been following this woman's musical journey for a few years now and she just keeps on keepin' on! She's definitely got the spirit! "Remarkable 108-year-old virtuoso Colette Maze becomes oldest-ever pianist to release an album."
  11. Well, this hits hard for me because I've been a fan of his work for a very long time. https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/chris-strachwitz-arhoolie-records-founder-dead-obituary-1234730941/

  13. Yes, that’s true. Sorry, what I meant to say was concerning the subject - which was about Apple Music. Not sure how good VLC is at organizing, but, yes, that can be used.
  14. I’m wondering just how your audio was saved. Maybe they were Mac-incompatible .wav files?
  15. cue the “Third Man” theme…
  16. Exactly what mjzee said. Dragging to music folders is actually not the easier method, because there are inner workings and extra steps that I won’t bore you with (and besides, there’s the easier method). Also, are you wanting to use that external hard drive as your source … or are you wanting to transfer your external drive tunes to a newer drive - for example, your internal drive? Seriously, just take a folder and drag and drop it in the left hand window and your Mac does the rest if you’re just transferring to your internal drive. Again, it’s always a good thing to Google precisely what it is what you want to do: “How do I add tunes to Apple Music from an external drive?” and often you’ll get a link to an Apple forum or helpful magazine article with helpful folks if you have further questions. There you’ll find out what Migration Assistant and Time Machine are actually used for. Just hate to see you trying and trying other things that might not be the things you need in order to do what you want to do.

  18. I wasn’t sure, but I get curious when I hear about these hybrid styles. Afterwards, I was so delighted that I’m devoting a segment to it on an upcoming show.
